Fuelhead

The full story!

This ain't the average bullshitting band biography like "everything is wonderful and this band is SO succesful even though no one have ever heard of them shit story".
This is the truth and nothing but the truth;
The band was born the summer of 1999 and formed by the 3 longtime friends
Palle, Andréas and Jimmie!
Having played in various coveracts together they began their lifelong friendship and
musical career together already back in -95.

The intention with the new band FUELHEAD was from start to deliver effective melodic heavy rock music "the easy to say but hard to do" way with cool riffs and great choruses! The name FUELHEAD came from the Metallica song "Fuel" and a mixture of a suggestion of calling the band "Bullhead" It turned out well though and after getting brilliant press for their demos, FUELHEAD was soon signed to the Stockholm based label Plugged Records.
A debutalbum was recorded and was set to be released in 2004 but the struggle of having a small budget on a small label and on top of that an almost fatal incident* with singer Andréas detained the recordings so the album wasn't released until 2006. A little bit too late it turned out..
The music fashion and the press in 2006 with heavier bands with growling vocals in the frontline looked down on a band like FUELHEAD who was more American sounding and actually sang melodies. Even though the heaviest metalbands today have cheesier choruses than Michael Bolton that didn't help FUELHEAD back then..

A few hard years followed facing the fact that the music, who was only released in Sweden, got the most attention abroad.
FUELHEAD was featured in various American magazines, the music was played on loads of American, Canadian & Australian radiostations but since the album wasn't released overseas the whole thing never took off.
Jimmie eventually left the band in despair of the record industry.
But not for long though, the genuine friendship, the love for the music and the killer instict these guys have, made them realize that what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger..

FUELHEAD 2010 and onwards...;

The story of FUELHEAD feat K.O.T (Kingz of Tomaro) is just as simple as it is fascinating. FUELHEAD songwriter Palle looses his dayjob during the financial crise, seizes the opportunity to put all his energy in the music and buys a decent home studio and start spending every single awake hour writing music.
Pretty soon the boys records a few brand new tracks and put one of the tracks up on Myspace. Within only 3 days the song has surved its purpose and is taken off the player and a contract with L.A based management the CHM Agency is in the mail..
As Palle explores and keeps writing, the question of writing backtracks for some L.A gangsta rappers arise. After penning out 5-6 tracks and getting awesome response for the music Palle realizes that he's onto something so the passion of just writing becomes a new track called "Kings of tomorrow" where he combines the gangsta style with the characteristic sound of FUELHEAD and just like that, a new breed is born. 1 track becomes a trilogy and right now a whole album is in the making..
With this said and done, of course all this wouldn't be even a fantasy for the Swedish rockers if it wasn't for the CHM mastermind Timothy Stevens, whos wild ideas during long nights Skype meetings found it's perfect place to grow inside Palles head..

FUELHEAD have more or less up 'til a year ago (since Palle got his own studio) worked with the same engineer, technician & producer since the very beginning and that is Thomas "Tompa" Karlsson, the owner of Carlsro Studio.
Tompa played a major role in the FUELHEAD machinery and FUELHEAD wouldn't be FUELHEAD without Tompa.

*Fotnote; A thing only a few people ever known about is that Andréas actually recorded the whole debutalbum with only one functioning lounge..
Today Andréas is fully recovered and needless to say, the vocals sounds twice as good!
